Three generations of the Jacobs family cherish their close ties with Epworth By The Sea. Front L-R, Emily Hampton, Jane and Parker Jacobs. A former camp counselor and present Trustee, Jane has been deeply involved in decisions regarding the construction of the Turner Lodge and purchase of the Booth Gate Property. "Epworth means so much to our family," said Mr. Jacobs. "Our children (Russell, Ruth and Jim) and their children have attended summer camps, Jane and Madeline have shared many precious times together in the Wright Prayer Tower and Parker (Russell and Cindy Jacobs) is planning to come to camp as soon as he is eight. Jacob and Emily Hampton (Dr. Alan and Ruth J. Hampton) began attending camp as soon as they were old enough. "Jacob told us that nine boys in his cabin accepted Christ this summer," said Mrs. Jacobs. "Epworth has had a powerful Christian influence on our lives and we wanted our grandchildren to understand and be part of our decision to remember Epworth in our wills." A financial planner, Jacobs said, "By remembering Epworth in our wills, our support of Epworth's ministry will continue but it also provides an excellent tax benefit for our family."
