October 12-15, 2015 Evelyn Laycock Bible Study Series
"O Love That Wilt Not Let Me Go" - Bishop James E. Swanson, Sr., preaching
"Lessons About God From the Land of the Bible" Dr. Jim Fleming, Bible Study Teacher
So often when we read the Bible, we pay little attention to the "stage setting" of the Biblical drama. We skip over difficult to pronounce names or ignore the movement of a passage from the seaside to the mountains, nor do we understand the significance when the writers of the Bible set a story in a particular place. Yet the Bible is a microcosm of the entire world. All these things that shape the land of the Bible also shape our understanding of the one, true God. Join us as Dr. Jim Fleming helps us understand the history and culture of the ancient Biblical world and Bishop James E. Swanson, Sr. preaches the word of God during this illuminating Bible study.
